Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland. This year-round program presents concerts, workshops, master classes, educational outreach and a three-day summer festival — June 20-22, 2024 — in Playhouse Square's historic theaters with the help of amazing volunteers like you.

All volunteers (new and returning) must complete this application. Volunteer positions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications must be received prior to April 26 to be considered for this year’s Tri-C JazzFest. Once your application is received, it will be reviewed and you will be contacted by mid-May regarding your acceptance as a volunteer.

If selected, please note that an orientation meeting(s) may be required for selected volunteers.

Please indicate the type of role you would prefer (up to four).

Administrative: Update calendars and directories. Assist with preparations for organizational materials and meetings, including sending invitations, collating materials, updating registration lists and making reminder calls.

Artist Host: Assist the artist/performers before and during their visit with efficient lead time. The Tri-C JazzFest Artist Host is responsible for logistics and interaction with administration, whereas the artist host is the primary point person and connection on the festival day. Works closely with transportation. Important: all of this work must be performed with a commitment to discretion and all the while maintaining confidentiality.

Catering: Assist production team with food and beverage backstage: Work directly with the Playhouse Square staff. Monitor rooms, supervise catering, check on back stage beverage stations, etc..

Driver: (Must be a Cuyahoga Community College employee and have a clear driving record) Pick up/drop off. Transportation airport runs (long shifts).

General Volunteer: Host check-in stations and or Info Booth: Sort and distribute volunteer T-shirts and Tri-C JazzFest materials; identify and provide appropriate credentials for staff, crew, artist, and volunteers. Greet and direct outdoor performers and patrons .May float positions (if needed) 

Kids Club: Assist with children activities in the Kids Club. This will include: Prep and clean up, assisting artists, performers, musician, and overseeing children activity stations. 

Marketing Street Team: Responsible for the distribution of promotional materials (flyers/posters) at various events, venues and locations around the community and local areas.








Volunteer Agreement:

I request consideration to participate as a volunteer with Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland. I hereby assume all responsibility and risk of personal injury, property loss or damages, and wrongful death while acting in a volunteer capacity and hereby agrees to release and hold harmless Cuyahoga Community College and its employees, officers, directors, consultants and agents from any and all claims arising from such activity. I certify that I am at least 18 years of age and have read and voluntarily signed this participation form by typing my full name below. If under 18 years of age, my parent or legal guardian has granted approval for my participation by typing their name below.
