The goal of Tri-C's Advancing Women in Equity and Inclusion is to provide students, faculty and staff of all gender identities with information, services, programming and training that address matters of particular concern to women.
To fulfill this vision, the College seeks to support and enhance its ongoing work in four principal areas:
Classroom and Curriculum
Works to develop gender equity best practices in all teaching and learning modalities, including pathways for students to pursue gender and women’s studies at Tri-C and beyond.
Men's Group
Leads and engages men in identifying ways to advance women in equity and inclusion at Tri-C, including behavioral change and understanding barriers that hold women back in the workplace and in society.
Training and Resources
Works to enhance education and training for faculty and staff on topics such as microaggressions, gender-related bias and the intersectionality of race and gender.
The Women's Summit
Coordinates and executes an annual Collegewide Women’s Summit for students, employees and community members to share information on gender equity and inclusion.
